ULTRA-BACKORDER Frequently Asked Questions
No. There is no fee at all. Placing a backorder and bidding in an auction are completely free. Users are free to participate in backorders and auctions.
Any account placing a backorder order or auction bid for the first time needs to verify the validity of its credit card. If you select credit card as your default payment method, ULTRA-BACKORDER places a ¥13,200 authorization hold to verify the card's validity. This hold is released within 7 days. If you select bank transfer as your default payment method, please contact us via [Contact] before starting a domain backorder or auction bid. ULTRA-BACKORDER guarantees a secure credit card verification process.
From the "Backorder" menu at the top, search for the domain name you want to acquire and click the backorder button to place your order. Please make sure you are logged in to your ULTRA-BACKORDER account when placing a backorder.
From the "Auction" menu above, select the domain name you want to bid on and click the bid button.
If ULTRA-BACKORDER successfully secures a domain you backordered and you were the only person who backordered it, we will send you a payment email. The domain fee is ¥13,200 (tax included).
Credit card (the fastest payment method) — the payment amount is automatically charged to your credit card.
When two or more customers backorder the same domain name and ULTRA-BACKORDER successfully acquires it, a public auction begins immediately.
A domain name auction runs for approximately 10 days. You can join the auction at any time during that period. If a new highest bid is placed within the last 5 minutes of the auction, the end time is extended by 5 minutes from the time of that bid. The end time keeps extending by an additional 5 minutes from the time of the last bid, according to this algorithm. This extension process continues indefinitely until the highest bid holds for 5 minutes without a new bid, at which point the auction ends.
The bid price shown in an auction is considered a so-called suggested or reference price. It is therefore not subject to the total-price display requirement, and the winning bid price is not shown as a tax-inclusive total. Please note that an additional 10% consumption tax is charged on top of the winning bid price.
